February 2016 Goals Update

Here’s an update on my goals. I got more done in January than I thought I would, considering how crazy my life got in January. I already knew my work schedule was going to be different, because I decided to take a class on Nutritional Anthropology. On top of this, one of the librarians I worked with got a new job over our Christmas Break, and put her two weeks’ notice in when we returned to work. I’ve been helping cover some of her hours until her replacement is hired.

Okay, so after that long rambling introduction, here are my January targets for meeting my goals and how I did with them:

Journal Prompts Book:

  • Delete duplicates———-completed 1/7/2016
  • Create Chicago citations—–changed mind, and decided to do an acknowledgement page instead
  • Assign End Note characters——no longer needed
  • Finish categorizing (added later)

Bobbin Lace Workbook:

  • Work through the instructions—forgot I had a started bookmark and need to finish that one because I can work through the instructions properly.

Recipe Book:

  • Write out 5 recipes—-completed 1/17/2016

Genealogy Workbook:

  • Work out what needs to be written—–completed 1/3/2016

eBay Shop:

  • Continue write ups and pictures—setting a goal of 5 a month, but I didn’t make it happen.
  • Type and upload what you have—-completed 1/19/2016

ETSY:

  • List sweater and other specialty items—-I DID get this stuff listed last night after I filmed by video. Completed 1/31/2016

Amazon:

  • Do more seller research—this will be ongoing, but I’ve learned that Amazon is best for books. Completed 1/31/2016

Craft Shows:

  • Knit Little Royals baby blanket—completed 1/3/2016

YouTube Channel:

  • Film 5 videos in January—I actually filmed 10 videos in January, so I’m really proud of myself for that.

Blog:

  • Brainstorm more post ideas—-I did this early on and came up with two dozen blog post ideas, some planner related, and some not. Completed 1/9/2016

Cooking thru the Book:

  • Make a list of needed equipment and software with the approximate cost—-I made the decision to shelve this project for the time being. I do not have the time to devote to setting this new blog and YouTube channel up at this time.

That was January! And here’s what I’m hoping to accomplish in February:

  1. Journal Prompts Book
    1. Finish categorizing
    2. Resort and refine prompts
    3. Write the acknowledgement page
  2. Bobbin Lace Workbook
    1. Finish the started bookmark
    2. Reset pillow for new bookmark
  3. Recipe Book

  4. Genealogy Workbook
    1. Write up why the date format is standardized
    2. Write up why the location format is standardized
  5. eBay Store
    1. 5 more write up and pictures
    2. Relist unsold back as auction or buy it now
  6. ETSY Shop
    1. Refigure planner inserts
    2. Create a price list and information chart
  7. Amazon
    1. List the two paperbacks
  8. Craft Show Inventory
    1. Bernat Plum Chutney baby blanket
  9. YouTube Channel

    1. Fill up March’s editorial calendar

I figured out that Amazon is better for selling used books and planners, at least for me. Items of clothing and accessories are better on eBay. Just my opinion though.
