Some people like structure, others prefer a blank canvas.
Another blogger I follow, Giftie Etcetera, wrote a post about transforming blank paper into a planner insert. You can read that here.
That post got me thinking about my ideal planner insert. Now, I do need monthlies for planning and future planning, and I like having weeklies because it’s a nice visual to see my week at a time.
But my favorite “insert” for my planners and refillable notebooks is blank paper—lined and unlined.
To me, a blank page is just full possibilities. I can choose what each page will be: a page for writing a blog post or story piece, blog to do chart, blog posting chart, sketch pad, To Do’s and shopping lists, project pages, and whatever else my wacky brain can come up with.
Blank paper for me is a combination of lined and unlined paper. Each serves its purpose, but if I had to be pressed to choose between the two, I would go with unlined pages. Much more freedom.
Here are some pictures of the types of blog paper I use and how I’ve set some of them up:
What’s your preferred planner insert and why?
