I grew up with a mother and grandmother who LOVE to decorate. My grandma could be featured on some of those TV shows that go around looking at how people decorate for the holidays–seriously!
When I moved out, I didn’t decorate a lot for the holidays at first. This autumn was the first season where I’ve really felt like decorating.
Now I haven’t gone as crazy as my mom and grandma do. I just decorated my hearth, because that is the focal point of my home, and my husband and I spend a lot of time in the living room.
This is an overall picture of my hearth. Below are some close ups.
I found these cute signs at the Dollar Tree (found some others for Halloween!), and littered the mantle with foliage, ceramic owls and a pumpkin. The horn is holding up two scarecrows for me.
I’ve had this basket for a few years. I love it! I put all my magazine in it for the season. (We’re not using the fireplace at the moment. When we start using the fireplace, we’ll remove the basket.)
I found these cute candle holders at Dollar General.
How do you decorate for fall?
