Experimenting with Journals

Some of you may remember a post I did a few months ago, where I showed how some of my small bound journals fit inside my Chic Sparrow Crème Wide. Well, now that I have a B6 size, I decided to repeat the experiment. Here’s a look are how the small bound journals inside my Foxy Fix Marina.

All 3 Inside:

All three do not fit nicely, obviously (who else read that in Snape’s voice? Come on, where are my Harry Potter fans?). I also wouldn’t have all three in at once anyways. They’re pulling on the elastics too much and that’s making me twitchy.

And since none of these journals have actual middles, so they do not sit on the elastics nicely.

Peacock and Slytherin Journals

Only having two journals in here works a lot better.

Individual Journals:

I may entertain having one of them in here at some point, but not right now. But it’s fun to experiment with different types of notebooks and inserts to see what works and what does not work.

I do have an upcoming post and video on how my Marina is set up in the works. Promise!

  1. Nice article on Journals. I have been using Journals since years but never noticed these things.

  2. I love seeing the journals you have chosen. I have too many blank ones, though.

We can’t have you getting twitchy. Amazing how some works and some don’t. Experimenting can be fun and work out nicely.

You’re a girl after my own heart! I’m such a planner nerd and I spend waaaaaay too much time on YouTube watching plan with me and planner set up videos. I’m a rings girl through and through though. I just love my Filofaxes. I enjoy looking at all other planners though, regardless of what system people use. Thank you for showing us yours and I look forward to seeing your video soon.

The only ringed planner I still have is my DayTimer Rose Gold Malibu in the personal size. I love the color of it soooo much I can’t part with it!

It’s definitely a better fit with just the two in there. I learn so much about this stuff from you!

  8. Courtney says:

Definitely seems to work best with two inside!
